Haven Holiday Centre
20th - 27th June
I'm in familiar territory here at Berwick-upon-Tweed. At least I thought I was. On Saturday morning I walked into town and went to my favourite restaurant for breakfast. The premises now contained a Bubble Tea Shop; whatever that is. Never mind. I knew another place where I could get a "Full English", just around the corner. I was not delighted to find a Turkish Barber had set up shop in the former Café.
That's got that moan out of the way. Rewind to Friday and my arrival at the Holiday Park after a mostly uneventful and quite comfortable train journey.
The caravan was in an ideal location on the Park. Haven have an option to select your spot on the park. One I looked at, and would have chosen, would have been an extra £90 so I took pot-luck and hoped for the best. I could have ended up literally anywhere on the park so I was quite pleased when I arrived at my designated caravan. It was next door to the one I almost paid extra for 😏
I spotted 17 species of birds from the caravan and a total of 51 species over the week.
